Hrithik Roshan has returned from LA looking dishy, thanks to a boot camp diet and exercise regime

He is reportedly heartbroken after the break up of his 13-year-marriage to childhood sweetheart Sussanne Roshan, but when he stepped out of Sahar Airport last Friday, he looked every inch the dude. Mirror has learnt that while in Los Angeles the actor had put himself through a boot camp diet and exercise—while factoring in niggling headaches which required a second opinion taken alongside.

While many assumed that Hrithik was in London and LA alone, the fact is that he was accompanied by his physical trainer. Satyadev Chaurasia has been working with him on his drool-worthy body for the last decade and once in LA the duo sat down together and worked out their regime.

Hrithik had to undergo an emergency brain surgery following an accidental hit on the head during an action sequence of Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang in Phuket. Subsequent scans revealed a blood clot between his brain and the left side of his skull. The news created ripples, but the operation was successful and after a brief recuperation he was back to promoting his Diwali release, Krrish 3.

The doctors had advised him complete bed rest for almost a month, which was why, post the release of Krrish 3, Hrithik took off on a short vacation before the next schedule of Bang Bang.

He was advised to go slow on his workouts in the interim and as a result of his sedentary lifestyle; his body was getting out of shape. It was time to hit the gym again.

According to a source, the day he landed in LA, Hrithik set out to get himself a lean look, vital for his next schedule of Bang Bang. He enlisted in one of the city’s best gyms, Equinox, and chalked out an exercise routine, which included cardio and resistance training (cardio burns calories and fat, while resistance training gets your body lean and toned), followed by weight and treadmill runs.

“His diet was high on nutrients and low on calories. His morning began with egg whites and a protein shake. He lunched on salad, a few potatoes and 200 gm fish. Dinner was salad again with 150 gm chicken,” said the source.

When contacted, Satya said, “The workouts were a stress-buster for him. He has inspired men and wowed women across the world with his physique. But the Greek God look is not easy to attain and maintain, particularly as per the requirements of a filmmaker. It requires lots of work, but fortunately Hrithik’s muscles responded to the varying workouts.”

Back in Mumbai, Hrithik continues training with Satya for two hours every evening on the ninth floor of his Juhu home, Palazzio
