Farhan Akhtar is nervous as any young director would be, before the release of his film. The only thing that has reduced his nervousness is the phenomenal response at the advance booking windows of Lakshya. The plans for the Amitabh-Hrithik-Preity starrer opened on Monday and set the cash registers ringing loudly.
Cinemas in Delhi and Bombay recorded collections better than even Main Hoon Na and Hrithiks last hit, Koi Mil Gaya. Amitabh Bachchan, who saw the Rs. 30 crore venture at a private show earlier this week, showered encomiums on the young director. Said he to Farhan, we had forgotten the art of using silence to convey emotions in our films and that’s what you seem to have mastered. You’ve used it to great advantage. Its brilliant, its flawless!
