The lead pair of Ashutosh Gowariker's JODHAA AKBAR, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan, were in Noida yesterday to promote the film. Aishwarya, along with Hrithik, reached the retail and entertainment complex, The Great Indian Place, located at Noida's Sector 18, late on Friday. Addressing the gathered members of the fourth estate the former beauty queen put forth her views on JODHAA AKBAR. Aishwarya said, " There is nothing like a controversy involved with JODHAA AKBAR, it is only a beautiful love story. You people should just enjoy the film and not get bothered by other non-filmi matters. The makers have really worked hard on the film and its script." She added that the entire Bachchan family, including her husband Abhishek, had seen and loved the movie.
Hrithik Roshan also expressed his views on the film by saying, " It was a great and fulfilling experience to work in JODHAA AKBAR and I hope that the audience love it as much as we have. I have really put in a lot of effort for my role of Akbar in the film and have read in detail about the emperor and his life." Just to show how excited Hrithik was about the film, he repeatedly told the members of the press to watch the film first and then give their reactions.

The premiere of Ashutosh Gowarikar’s film Jodhaa Akbar at Imax Wadala on Thursday was in keeping with the format of the film itself: a grand affair. The event drew a smattering of industry big-wigs, while an eager audience patiently sat through the three-hour-long movie. Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao were amongst the first to arrive. The couple turned up to support Aamir’s long time friend Ashutosh Gowarikar. Incidentally, the film-maker’s birthday coincided with the premiere. Hrithik Roshan walked in next, with wife Suzanne Khan and mom Pinky Roshan. The leading lady, Aishwarya herself, arrived with the entire Bachchan clan and Amar Singh in tow. Abhishek Bachchan, who was expected to arrive from Delhi earlier in the day, got delayed and came straight from the airport.
Producer Ronnie Screwvala was also there with Gowarikar and his wife Sunita. A bejeweled Rekha made an entry minutes before the Bachchans walked in. The cast and crew of the film, including Sonu Sood, Poonam Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha were all present. And then there were Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Ketan Mehta, Deepa Sahi, Minissha Lamba, Abbas-Mustan and Ramesh Taurani. Much to everyone’s disappointment, during the interval the lead pair Aishwarya and Hrithik did not step out into the foyer to mingle with guests or the media. After curtain call, the entire cast of the film wished the birthday boy, Ashutosh Gowarikar and an elaborate cake was wheeled in. After the premiere, the Bachchans also organised a dinner party Gowarikar.
