HRITHIK ROSHAN has taken on a new role — he’s a dad now. His wife Sussanne delivered a 3.5 kg boy at Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday afternoon. She was admitted to Lilavati in the morning and underwent a C-section at 2.40 pm on the first-floor operation theatre. Afterwards, she was shifted to the 11th floor, which is reserved for VIP patients.
Hrithik was reportedly present during the birth of his son. Incidentally, Amitabh Bachchan too stayed on the same floor after his abdominal surgery. A proud grandfather Rakesh Roshan told HT, “Mother and child are do ing fine. We haven’t thought of a name yet.” Sussanne’s brother Zayed was at a press conference in Bandra when Sussanne was wheeled into the operation theatre. It was his wife Maleika who informed him of the birth of his nephew.
Said an elated Zayed, “It’s incredible, fantastic news! We are all very happy.” He rushed to Lilavati to join the Roshans. Sussanne’s father Sanjay Khan, her mother Zarine and her sister Farah were also at the hospital. Congratulatory messages from Bollywood began pouring in. Sources said Sussanne and her son would be discharged from hospital in a couple of days.
