Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara July 13, 2011 is a day that still manages to give shudders to Mumbai's populace… a day when the entire city was rattled with bomb blasts in the city. However, the makers of the film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Kishore Lulla from Eros have decided to donate a certain amount of the film's collections towards the victims of the serial blasts. It is learnt that the makers Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Kishore Lulla have decided that the collections of the Thursday evening show from selected theatres will be distributed amongst the blast victims.
The selected theatres include PVR in Mulund, Goregaon and Juhu, Fun Cinemas in Andheri, Chembur, Kandivali, Vashi and Kalyan, Cinemax in Sion, and Inox in Nariman Point. When contacted, Ritesh Sidhwani said, "We were all in a very low mood after the blasts. That is when we decided that it is time to do something for the city." Later he added, "Since the film is doing well, we can contribute significantly. We have selected 9-10 cinema halls across the city and the proceeds of the evening show on Thursday will go to the blast victims. Also, some of the multiplexes have come forward to offer a percentage of their share as well. Let's hope we can do our best."
