In a mood for a chilled-out chat and some dance, the star cast of Krrish 3 visited Hindustan Times House on Wednesday afternoon to meet the 10 lucky winners of HT City’s Stars in the City contest. Actors Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi, Kangna Ranaut and producer-director Rakesh Roshan were in high spirits as they took questions from the audience. Revealing his career plans, Hrithik was at his candid best, while Vivek talked about his dream director. What got the loudest cheer was a jig at the end of the show, with all five dancing to the tunes of Raghupati Raghav from their upcoming film.

On a pleasant Wednesday afternoon, HT City was struck by frenzy and hysteria as stars of Krrish 3 descended to meet the winners of the Stars in the City contest. In a question and answer session conducted by HT City editor Sonal Kalra, the cast of the superhero film – Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi, Kangana Ranaut, as well as producer and director Rakesh Roshan, bonded with their fans. Kicking off the proceedings, Priyanka Chopra talked about why it was a whole new experience to be a part of the Krrish series after 7 years. “My role has evolved from the last film, it is one-of-a-kind. Science-fiction genre is pioneered by Mr (Rakesh) Roshan and this is a path-breaking film,” said the 31-year-old actor, who back was also a part of the second installment of the Krrish series that released in 2006.

Appreciation for the director came from actor Vivek Oberoi when he said, “Every actor has a dream that before you die, you want to work with certain directors and Rakesh Roshan was on the top of my list. When I first met Mr Roshan at his office for this, I did not know that I would be a part of such a franchise. It was a huge honour. It is a phenomenal role. I hope I have lived up to his expectations”. The man though who stole the show was Hrithik himself, who on being asked why he does just one movie in a year, said, “I promise I will do three films in a year from next year”. On being questioned about his Hollywood plans, the 39-year-old added, “Time will tell, I do not demarcate my career — whether it is Bollywood or Hollywood. But I can tell you that Hollywood has to come here. I am not going anywhere”.

Admitting being awed by the superhero, Kangana Ranaut said: “When Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai released, I was in class 9, I had twenty five pictures of Hrithik with me, my friends though had 500 each with them”. When we asked senior Roshan why Bollywood films do not come with a message anymore, the 64-year-old said: “I do not believe so. I fell it comes down to the filmmaker as an individual”.
