It is a complete masala movie and we made it with the intention to entertain everyone. I make movies for people to enjoy, to forget about the stress that is a part of the mundane lives we live. It is a full paisa vasool film and the audience is loving it."

Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios says, "Today Is a very special day for us at Fox Star Studios. When we set out to make Bang Bang, the 100 crore club felt like a distant dream and today it has crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone in India in just over 4 days! The audience's reaction is very gratifying as the film is a repeat watch film and the action, the romance and scale of production is being hugely appreciated!" Bang Bang is also already in the list of top 5 films in Bollywood to have received as overwhelming a response on its opening day. Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif's Bang Bang has been adding to its already illustrious box-office graph with every ticket sold. It made Rs 175.61 crore gross worldwide in four days. The film made Rs 22.41 crore nett on Sunday taking the total domestic tally to Rs 94.13 crore (134.47 crore gross). The film has also created records in the overseas territory by raking in Rs 41 .14 crore over the weekend thus becoming the highest opener of 2014 in the overseas territory beating Sajid Nadiadwala's Eid extravaganza Kick in Middle East, UK and US by a huge margin. The stupendous collections of Bang Bang has got the trade very excited.

Vajir Singh, Editor of Box Office India magazine, is excited that the industry has seen a boom in business after a considerable lull. "The business has been phenomenal. The jodi of Hrithik and Katrina has worked its magic again. Bang Bang is holding supremely well. It is a full family-entertainer and a total masala movie. The audience has loved the film and the figures reflect this," he says.

Trade analyst Komal Nahta is also delighted about Bang Bang's record breaking collection. He says, "Bang Bang has done remarkably well and has become the highest opening film in Hrithik's career. Four-day net total of Rs. 94 crore is huge! What's also very incredible is the $6 million weekend overseas collection. Such figures are not seen very often."

Editor of leading trade site KoiMoi.com, Nikita Wagh says, "Bang bang was expected to bang the box-office charts. And yes it did and how! Being a complete mass entertainer, the film has been liked by one and all. The makers quite intelligently chose the extended weekend, and that helped this flick to soar even more. Multiplexes and single screens are seeing an upswing today. One wonders, had it been a solo release, how many more box office records, would it have shattered." "Bang Bang has succeeded as it is unpretentious, unabashed and delivers as promised. It was meant to be a joy ride with superstars with high dose of cool quotient and that is what has paid off. Despite competition with a critically acclaimed film and loss of some screen count, it has maintained its hold with the masses which is a high indeed for Hrithik, Katrina and of course Siddharth. With the next big release (Happy New Year) more than 15 days away, the stage is set for Bang Bang to consolidate," says senior trade journalist Joginder Tuteja.
