Hrithik Roshan dominates the first trailer of his latest movie Mohenjo Daro, released on Monday evening. The movie also stars Pooja Hegde and Kabir Bedi and it is the latter (who plays the ruler of Mohenjo Daro) who leaves quite an impact with his powerful presence in the three minute long video.The epic adventure-romance, set in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation, traces the lives of Indigo farmer Sarman (Hrithik) and Chaani (Pooja) in the pre-historic Indus Valley. Sarman meets Chaani, the daughter of a priest, predicted to be the origin of a new society. Sarman uncovers the secrets about Chaani, about Mohenjo Daro and about his own past that set his life on a roller coaster ride. Co-written, co-produced and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the film is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sunita A Gowariker.Mohenjo Daro is set in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation that dates back to 2600 BC. Gowariker’s movie took over three years to materialise. He took help from archaeologists who documented the discovery of Indus Valley Civilisation. The film was shot in Bhuj and Mumbai with short schedules in Jabalpur and Thane.

Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker's much-awaited project, which brings the story of the medieval world onto the silver screen, was launched on Monday. The trailer gives people a glimpse into the epic saga that has stunning visual effects and larger-than-life terrain. Hrithik in his rustic and fierce look rocks. The trailer of filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker’s much-awaited project ‘Mohenjo Daro‘, which brings a story from the medieval world on the silver screen, was launched on Monday. The trailer was released across Star TV networks as a roadblock on all channels and garnered massive views. The trailer of Hrithik Roshan-starrer was viewed by as many as 30 million people worldwide on channels across Star Networks. This is the first time Star Networks has extended such kind of support to any film. The trailer was played as a three-minute full trailer via a roadblock on their network channels at 8:57 p.m., said a statement from the channel. The trailer presents a glimpse to the epic saga with stunning visual effects and larger-than-life terrain.Hrithik appeared rustic and fierce as promised through the first look of the film, which also features Pooja Hegde, Kabir Bedi and Arunoday Singh in key roles.At a time when most trailers are launched at events, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ team initiated a new marketing move and opted to unveil it through a global GEC (General Entertainment Channel) roadblock.Written, produced and directed by Gowariker, the epic adventure-romance is set in the city of Mohenjo Daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation which dates back to 2600 BC.
