A string of flops followed his superhit debut until the career of Hrithik Roshan was salvaged by Koi Mil Gaya . ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ was followed by Krrish and Dhoom 2 and Hrithik was back as the Bollywood heartthrob.
But Hrithik says the movies that flopped early in his career helped ground him and that it is unhealthy for actors to believe the hype that surrounds them. “I learned not to take labels like superstar seriously,” Hrithik was quoted as saying by a leading newspaper on Thursday.
“It's very easy to start believing in the persona that's created for you in the media. Once that happens, you are finished,” Hrithik added. Early movies that didn't pass muster with Hrithik's fans taught him not to take success for granted, the newspaper cited him as saying.
Hrithik played a smooth-talking thief in hit movie ‘Dhoom 2’ that was released last month. He also played India's first big screen superhero in ‘Krrish’. And now Hrithik is all geared up to play the lead role in the historical Jodha Akbar opposite the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai .
