AIRPORT COMMOTION: Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan caused a minor commotion at Goa airport.
Mumbai: Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan caused a minor commotion at Goa airport on Thursday evening.
The Roshan family flew into make an appearance for the screening of their film Krrish at the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Roshan senior was glad to receive an award for his contribution to Hindi cinema: "It's a very happy moment, we have contributed a lot. I have been in the industry for years. It's a good feeling."
And with the successful opening of Dhoom 2, Roshan junior had more reason to cheer. "This is the first time that I am in town for the release of a film. Specially since it is successful, it feels really good to be here to enjoy it," Hrithik said.
And it turned out to be one big family event on stage as the Roshans walked in to receive the honour. "I still feel that I've just begun," an ecstatic Rakesh Roshan said.
But son Hrithik couldn't have been more proud when quizzed about the his new-found 'super-hero' status and was quick to pass on the credit to his dad.
"It is not surprising that I ended up being like on super-hero, cause I was actually raised by one," he said.
Having earned over 60 crores at the box-office Krrish is one of the biggest grossers of 2006. And with a festival screening to end the year, it sure is a little more the Roshans could have asked for.

The entire Roshan clan made an appearance in Goa yesterday before Rakesh Roshan’s film Krrish was screened for the IFFI. Hrithik Roshan along with parents Rakesh and Pinky and wife Suzanne were called up on stage to talk a bit about the movie before it was shown on the big screen.
Amidst a cheering full house, Hrithik Roshan was presented with a memento by the organizers. “The only reason why I’m a super hero onscreen is because of my father who is the real super-hero”, said he.
Alongside the Roshan family on stage was politician Narayan Pratap Rane who joked about how he was Rakesh Roshan’s senior as the former started out in politics two years before the latter’s entry into films.
Addressing to the crowd Rakesh Roshan said,” The journey has been long and fruitful. With your support it will be even more interesting in the future.” Krrish which created waves at the box-office was highly appreciated by the audiences and critics all over and is one of 2006’s top-grossers.

PANAJI: Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and his father director Rakesh Roshan came in for glowing compliments during the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Friday for their contributions to mainstream cinema.
IFFI's organisers rolled out the red carpet for the Roshan family, which arrived here on Thursday for the screening of their latest blockbuster movie Krissh at the festival, and the Goa government conferred a special award on Rakesh Roshan for his contribution to films.
"We are honoured to have the Roshan family here. I have watched their films and enjoyed them very much. Hrithik is the new superhero who is hugely popular with the younger generation," Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane said.
Speaking on the occasion, Hrithik, who was presented a memento, paid glowing tributes to his father, saying the secret of his success as a superhero in his latest movie was that he was "raised by a superhero".
"People ask me what is the secret of my success as a superhero, but it is not difficult because I have been raised by a man who is the most persevering and hard working man on this earth. I have been raised by a true superhero," Hrithik said to loud cheers from the crowd.
