Acer spends Rs 7.5 mn on upcoming TV campaign

BANGALORE: PC marketer Acer is spending around Rs 7.5 million for its soon to launched television campaign featuring brand ambassador and Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, sources say.

 

This is the second TVC by the company with the movie star. The spends for the first TVC was close to Rs 12.5 million, sources add.

 

The second TVC is likely to be released by mid July. Both the campaigns will be on air on English and Hindi news channels and a clutch of regional channels.

 

The theme for both the ads is the same – chaos in life in different scenarios. The one currently on air has an office scenario, while the second TVC highlights the chaos one encounters in life.

 

The creative work for both the campaigns has been done by Dentsu while the media buying agency is Madison Media.

 

After spinning off its manufacturing activities, Acer has focused on globally marketing its brand-name products: mobile and desktop PCs, servers and storage, LCD monitors and high-definition TVs, and handheld/navigational devices.
