Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal are also on the list as the Bachchans aim for an unprecendented concert line-up
The Live Earth India concert, which is scheduled to be held on December 7 in Mumbai had already confirmed the presence of international musicians like Jon Bon Jovi and Roger Waters, sharing stage space with Indian singing stars like Sonu Niigaam and Sunidhi Chauhan.
The latest is that even Hrithik Roshan and the Rock On stars — Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal — are set to join the concert, apparently at the request of the Bachchans.
When contacted to confirm the news, all Sabas Joseph of Wizcraft is saying right now is that, “We are still finalising the details... but let me assure you, no previous concert has ever seen this kind of line-up.”
The Live Earth concert was first held in July last year to focus attention on golbal warming, with simultaneous concerts in New York, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesberg and Hamburg. The event partners with former US vice president and Nobel Prize winner Al Gore and his organisation, The Alliance For Climate Protection.

If you want to be part of a legendary moment when rockstar Roger Waters and the Big B light the stage on fire, be at Andheri Sports
Complex on December 7. Some of the biggest names in Hollywood, Bollywood and the world music circle - from Leonardo DiCaprio to the Bachchans and from Bon Jovi to Hrithik Roshan - will come together at the Live Earth India concert to highlight the climate crisis of the planet.
"The organisers are talking to Leonardo Dicaprio, who is likely to accompany former US vice-president Al Gore to the event. Actor-singer Jon Bon Jovi will also jam with Indian singers,'' one of the organisers said. Gore, who participated in the press announcement via satellite in September, had said India should lead the world by committing to produce energy from clean and renewable sources within the next 10 years.
One of the eagerly-awaited moments will be Roshan jamming with Farhan Akhtar. An industry insider said, "Hrithik Roshan will sing along with Farhan Akhtar. Some of the other musicians to perform are Vishal Shekhar, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shaan. The entire Bachchan clan, too, will be at the event and, besides Shekhar Kapur - the creative director for Live Earth India - Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta will be there.'' The Big B has been lending his voice to environmental issues for some time now.
Beneficiaries of Live Earth India include TERI's Light A Billion Lives campaign and Climate Project India, which are dedicated to promoting awareness and finding solutions to the current climate crisis while alleviating poverty. Participants at the event will not be charging any fee.
Sabas Joseph of Wizcraft said, "We will announce the final line-up soon but it is going to be the best one ever; a collaboration of international and Indian artistes will come together for a cause like never before. The mission is to cultivate grassroots and worldwide awareness of and solutions for environmental issues that affect us all.''
