The 'Be The Hero' Free Fire campaign has received significant attention from influencers across India.

Hrithik Roshan's in-game character, Jai, will be the first playable Indian character.

Garena, the leading global online games developer and publisher, based in Singapore, has unveiled Hrithik Roshan as Free Fire's first playable Indian character, after announcing a team-up with the superstar.

The partnership introduces an exciting new campaign – “Be The Hero”, which will offer fans the opportunity to play as Hrithik's official avatar – Jai. It also unites the world’s most popular mobile game with one of India's biggest stars and builds on Garena’s efforts to delight the Indian gaming community with localised content.

“I am thrilled to be a part of the Free Fire universe and my official avatar, Jai, that the team has created, is so cool. I hope that all the players enjoy this unique experience,” said Hrithik Roshan.

Free Fire’s focus on India
Garena’s partnership with Hrithik Roshan signifies its efforts to entertain and engage the Free Fire Indian community with localised experiences specifically tailored to their preferences.

This builds on Garena’s recent efforts such as the streaming of eSports tournaments in local languages; the hosting of community engagement activities such as the YouTube influencers engagement party in Goa; and celebrating local festivals such as Holi in-game, all to strike a chord with Indians across the globe.

Garena Free Fire announces new playable character Jai based on Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan

Over the weekend, Garena Free Fire's latest character was revealed to be Indian superstar Hrithik Roshan. He'll be the game's first playable Indian character, and his in-game name will be Jai.

Roshan is one of Bollywood's biggest names at the moment, having most recently starred in the likes of War and Super 30. And this isn't the first time we've seen popular creative talent join Free Fire, with DJ Alok and action star Joe Taslim having previously arrived in-game as playable characters.

This is all part of Garena's goal to engage local Free Fire communities with content tailored to their specific preferences. This also extends to special events, such as the game's Day of the Dead campaign in Mexico, as well as its sizeable esports scene bolstered by Garena's engagement with regional influencers.

Not a great deal is currently known about how Roshan will play or what types of abilities he'll bring to the table. More info is expected to land in the coming weeks, but all we have to go on for now is the footage embedded above.

HRITHIK ROSHAN JOINS FREE FIRE AS A NEW CHARACTER

A new agent named Jai is revealed by Garena Free Fire which has striking similarities with Bollywood star Hritik Roshan. Some earlier leaks pointed towards some sort of a collaboration between Hritik Roshan and Free Fire which has been officially confirmed.

Free Fire recently posted a few teaser images about launching something exciting soon. The teaser points towards a new agent with “Be the Hero” tagline.

Finally on 29th August, all the leaks and rumours are verified as Free Fire officially introduces the new character ‘Jai’. The character is a SWAT agent trained to operate in the high risk situations who belongs to New Delhi, India.

Jai will be an excellent agent for close combat battles and is perfect for players who like to hotdrop into blazing fires and challenge their opponents. Hritik Roshan, who is seen in action in many of his films, will enter the Free Fire battle arena with the same characteristics.

The agent will have a special ability named Furious Reload which will allow players to instantly reload their weapons, ranging from long range snipers to assault rifles and pistols. This quality will enable players to confidently enter the battlefields with no fear of running out of ammo.
