Reactions to Hrithik's Speech & Performance

Subash K Jha on Hrithik’s performance

Hrithik Roshan created history at the FF awards when a few days after the release of Kaho Naa... Pyar Hai his father was shot at. Hrithik went on stage and gave a rousing speech about the agony-and-ecstacy that his family had gone through. And then the music started. As Hrithik swayed rhythmically to Ek pal ka jeena phir to hai jaana, the moment froze in the nation's mind forever. At that moment I knew there was no high higher than the experience of being on that stage, living the moment for all it's worth knowing that it would remain embedded in the public's mind until the next awards.

Hrithik's was undoubtedly the grandest entry - and his act the highlight of the evening. His gyration to two songs from his debut film Kaho Na...Pyaar Hai was greeted with frenzied applause from the audience and screams of `Once More'.

The actor also gave an emotionally charged speech, referring to the recent underworld attack on his father Rakesh Roshan. ``No matter how much some people might want to put us down, we will continue making films,'' he said. ``For, if there is one motto the film industry believes in, it's that the show must go on.''
