Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan who played a soldier in Farhan Akhtar's Lakshya impressed one and all with his brilliant performance. The jawans of the Indian army had a reason to feel proud with Hrithik's authentic portrayal of an Indian soldier. And now after the film, Hrithik made the jawans proud once again by getting up close and personal with them in the recent telecast of the NDTV program 'Jai Jawan' on 8 pm on Saturday, July 31. Jai Jawan takes filmstars to the border areas and gives them a chance to interact with the soldiers posted there.
Hrithik treaded on the path that was earlier followed by Bollywood superstars like Aamir Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Shahrukh Khan. Hrithik trudged his way to the battle frontiers to meet the jawans. He spent some quality time with the soldiers interacting with them and bringing smiles on their faces and making them feel happy.
There was also a special screening of his film Lakshya for the army personnel. The army men were all so overwhelmed with Hrithik's performance in 'Lakshya' that they couldn't stop complimenting him about it. And with his muscular physique and cropped hair, the soldiers were of the opinion that no actor had ever portrayed an army soldier so genuinely. The soldiers also gave him a standing ovation.
