Actor Hrithik Roshan, captivated the hearts of underprivileged children by celebrating the colourful festival in an inimitable style at Independence Cafe, Bandra.
Children from Annapurna Mahila Mandal (Rehabilitation center for children of commercial sex workers), St. Joseph's Convent and St. Peter's Youth For Youth (Home for street children) had been invited to celebrate Holi with Hrithik. More then 50 children came together at the venue and danced with the actor on the tunes of Koi Mil Gaya - Magic Magic and music from Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. Showering gulal on the kids, Hrithik spent some cheerful moments with the children.
When asked about this unscheduled stop, the actor said, "It is a fulfilling experience and somehow I managed to make time for a noble cause from my busy schedule."
"I would like to organise more and more events for those who are less privileged, it gives me immense satisfaction. For some time now we have been trying to do something but it all requires a lot of hard work and effort," said Mr. Mushtaq Sarkar, managing director, Independence Cafe.
Hrithik is my favorite star, and I am really very happy to see him closely, I always wanted to talk to him and today my dream is fulfilled," said Divine D'Souza, a student of St. Joseph's School.
The event lasted for an hour and what was left was a very impressed group of children. It was all about recreating and enjoying the sprit of the colourful festival.
