It was tense, it was nail biting - and most of all it was terrific fun.
A sell out crowd of 21,000 India and Pakistan cricket fans watched an absorbing match between their heroes at Edgbaston.
And ultimately it was the Pakistan fans who were celebrating after their team's nail biting three-wicket win over arch rivals India in the ICC Champions Trophy.
They watched man-ofthematch Yousuf Youhana finish undefeated on 81 as he guided Pakistan past India's total of 200 all out with just four balls to spare.
And there was another cause for celebration for the Pakistan supporters as captain Inzamam-ul-Haq became only the second batsman to score 10,000 one-day international runs during his innings of 41, an achievement marked with a standing ovation from the capacity crowd.
Singing, chanting fans armed with colour flags and banners made the day one to remember.
Among the celebrities attending was Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan.
Pakistan will face the West Indies in the tournament's second semi-final at The Rose Bowl, in Hampshire, on Wednesday after Brian Lara's team achieved a five-wicket win over South Africa at The Brit Oval.
England take on favorites Australia in the first semi-final at Edgbaston tomorrow after Michael Vaughan's team secured a 49-run victory over Sri Lanka at the Rose Bowl on Saturday, thanks largely to a fantastic innings of 104 from Andrew Flintoff.
