Superstar's stage shows create frenzy everywhere he goes
Contrary to reports that Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai failed to dazzle on their world tour, the response to the Koi...Mil Gaya superstar and the shows has been overwhelming. The Wembley arena in London was packed to capacity, and after Celina Jaitley, Sajid Khan, Lara Dutta and Aishwarya Rai had performed, the
mention of Hrithik's name evoked ecstatic screams, and a throng of heads, even the most VVIPs of the audience stood to attention to catch a glimpse of their idol. As the 'taandav' track from Fiza played, Roshan emerged from the shadows in a cowboy suit and smart hat, which he later threw into the audience. As Hrithik sang It's Magic, no one disagreed, and cheered every time his feet stomped. Before leaving, he exclaimed, "I am grateful and love you all so much that I just want to come out there and hug all of you!"
A report in a leading London English daily read, "His rhythm sparked up a near fire, the man was on fire and everyone knew it. He had outdone his last performance. As he stripped away his suit revealing his chiselled body, he evoked ecstasy with his new leaner look wowing the crowd that remained under his spell."
The only shows that evoked a tepid response were the ones in Manchester and Birmingham and Hrithik does not attribute that to his lack of popularity. "The local promoter there was new without much experience in marketing and distribution of tickets. In fact, the main promoter, Vijayji, had to take over and do it himself. Farhath Hussain is otherwise the king of foreign shows but this time he wasn't involved. I spoke to him later and he told me that there would have been an audience of 40,000, but only 16,000 showed up as tickets were not well retailed."
In the same breath, Hrithik added, "The shows in London, Amsterdam, Vancouver, Detroit, L.A. and Frisco were absolute sell-outs. In L.A., there were 10,000 people despite a capacity of 8,000. In Amsterdam, the local guy asked me there and then to do another show the next day as the response had been thumping, but I couldn't as I was to fly out."
Hrithik's concluding show is on May 16, in Toronto after which he will return to Mumbai. "I'm absolutely loving the response here. It makes me feel on top of the world but I'm missing Mumbai too. After all, home is home," he says.

Contrary to the belief that the Hrithik Roshan world tour is not attracting enough crowds, the fact of the matter remains that the shows are doing pretty much well. The initial few shows could not meet with favorable response due to the new organizers setting high ticket rates. The Manchester show drew more that 90% crowd, in London it was a 100% hit, in Amsterdam it was a huge sell out and Vancouver show also hit the bull's eye. This only goes to prove that Hrithik is indeed a great crowd puller and was ably supported by three beauty queens - Aishwarya Rai, Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley.

The response to Hrithik Roshan on his foreign shows has been overwhelming and expectedly so. Accompanying him are Celina Jaitley, Aishwarya Rai, Sajid Khan, Lara Dutta and Fardeen Khan (on a single crutch). The mention of Hrithik's name in London's Wembley arena evoked ecstatic screams, especially when the star emerged from the shadows with the 'taandav' tune of 'Fiza' playing. He was dressed in a cowboy suit and hat, which he later threw into the audience.
While the shows in Birmingham and Manchester did not evoke as much of a response, due to a fault in the retailing of tickets, the ones in Detroit, San Francisco, LA, Amsterdam and Vancouver were absolute sell-outs. Hrithik's final show is on 16th May in Toronto after which he will return to Mumbai.
