Hrithik Roshan, who's been assisting on the sets of superhero sequel, getting his hands and clothes messy, reveals father Rakesh wasn't convinced he'd be fit enough to shoot Hrithik Roshan will start shooting for Krrish 3 at Ramoji Rao Film Studio in Hyderabad from January 29 or 30, after the release of Agneepath. Even though filming started on December 1, 2011, with Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi and Kangana Ranaut, he's not faced the camera yet. However, he was active during the first schedule at Mumbai's Filmistan Studio, returning as an assistant director on a Filmkraft production after 14 years, sparking off rumours that he is co-directing the superhero sequel with his father, Rakesh Roshan. “Co-directing Krrish 3 with dad? That's ridiculous!“ scoffs the superstar who started his career as an assistant on the sets of his father's movies, Karan Arjun (1995) and Koyla (1997). “It's great fun to be down on your knees trying to fix things. My hands and clothes would get messy, but since I wasn't an actor and only an assistant, I couldn't be bothered.“ To gear up for what he admits is one of the biggest challenges of his career, Hrithik has been working out religiously for the last 11 weeks, eating eight meals a day, at regular intervals of two hours. In just 64 days of following the instructions of trainer Kris Genthin and nutritionist Maraica Johnson, he's shed 10 kilos and lost six-and-a-half inches from a 36-inch waist that wouldn't allow him to button up his jeans. “Dad was thinking of shelving Krrish 3 because he wasn't sure I'd be in shape after lying in bed (with a double slip-disc) and being overfed. But I knew that if we lost this opportunity, we'd never make the movie,“ he says. Right now, the actor is promoting Agneepath that opens this Thursday, and has been drawing crowds everywhere. However, the 40,000 fans waiting for him at the PVR mall in Gurgaon on Sunday took him by surprise. Mall announcements started and standees were put up on the day itself. Yet, it was packed. Hrithik is often asked to repeat Amitabh Bachchan's dialogue from the 1980 Agneepath, “Pura naam Vijay Dinanath Chauhan...' But he's refused: “It's a new Vijay, a new Agneepath.“
