After months of speculation over Hrithik Roshan and Ashutosh Gowariker’s next period drama, the director has finally broken his silence. The film based on Mohenjodaro civilisation will bring together the actor and director after Jodha Akbar in 2008. Ashutosh did thorough research on this subject before approaching Hrithik with it.
“There were more than 25 books and journals as research material, and it took me three years to put everything together. I also met a lot of archaeologists. There is no end to the research, but we have a script ready now,” said the director.
Hrithik is known to be an actor who is not easily convinced by script reading. So, how did he react to Ashutosh’s offer? “The script and research blew his mind! He was surprised to know how little we actually know about that world.”
