Ace designer Neeta Lulla says it is difficult to do styling for period films as one has to strike a right balance between authenticity of that era and current fashion trends.

The designer, who has teamed up with director Ashutosh Gowariker for his Hrithik Roshan-starrer "Mohenjo Daro", had earlier worked with him on "What's Your Rashee?", "Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey" and "Jodha Akbar".

"Mohenjo Daro" is set in the Indus Valley civilization. The epic adventure-drama features Hrithik and newcomer Pooja Hegde in the lead.

"The script and research material was given to us. We had to work accordingly on the costumes. It's an epic film and we had to create a world and vision that the director wanted," Neeta told .

"It's very difficult to style for period films as one needs to work under certain parameters of research. One needs to create believable look," she said.

According to the National Award winning designer, the challenge is to stay true to the era in which "Mohenjo Daro" is set and also keep in mind today's audience."The most challenging part is there is that no visual is available. We had to keep in mind that it (costumes) looks like of that era and also keep in mind today's audience as they are going to watch the film. We would like to show people our world of Mohenjo Daro," she said.

Earlier, the movie's costume designing was being taken care by Oscar nominated and Emmy-winning April Ferry and later Neeta came on board. The film is set to release on August 12.
