Actor Hrithik Roshan on Sunday said playing the role of mathematician Anand Kumar in his hit "Super 30" was an extremely "special" experience.
The film, directed by Vikas Bahl, featured Hrithik as Anand, the Patna-based scholar who trains 30 deserving, economically-backward students for IIT-JEE entrance exams every year with commendable success rate.

The 46-year-old actor said he "can't believe" it has already been a year since the film released.
"For me, the success of 'Super 30' is way more satisfying than the success of any of my other films. My journey from being myself to becoming Anand Kumar in front of the camera was a very special one.
"Reminiscing about the process of picking up the body language, learning the nuances and transforming for it, always leaves a smile on my face," Hrithik said in a statement.

Backed by Reliance Entertainment and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film also starred Mrunal Thakur, Amit Sadh and Nandish Sandhu.
"Super 30" marked Hrithik's return to screen two years after the release of "Kaabil", in which he played the role of a visually-challenged man.
Three months after the release of "Super 30", Hrithik starred in director Siddharth Anand's action-drama "War', which emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2019.

Hrithik Roshan owned 2019 with two great performances to his credit. While his tough avatar in War got the box office spinning moolah and created history, his other performance that was talked about a lot was his role in Super 30. The film where he played mathematician Anand Kumar got the critics raving about him and his fans flocking to the cinema hall.

The film completed a year yesterday and Hrithik Roshan shared a heartfelt post on social media thanking his fans and everyone for the role. He shared a video clipping from the film where we see him playing the role of the teacher. He got philosophical with his caption and expressed his gratitude to get a chance to play the role, ˜To silently persevere against all odds is to truly know the essence of God. To put your passion to the test is to truly know love. And to forgive and be compassionate unconditionally first to oneself and then to others is to truly know love. Playing Anand was a reminder of all the above. Thank you team Super 30 for never giving up on ourselves. We went thru hell for a glimpse of heaven. I love you all !! Now that's very sweet.

Hrithik Roshan has not officially confirmed his next film, but sources suggest that he will continue with his franchise Krrish helmed by his father Rakesh Roshan. The actor will get back to his superhero mode and don the black cape to save the world. A daily had reported last week that Rakesh Roshan is working on the script hard amidst the lockdown and might get the iconic alien Jaadu back on screen for this part.
