Papa Rakesh Roshan and mother Pinky hosted a special birthday bash for Hrithik Roshan who turned 42 on Jan 10, today. To bring in the day, the Roshans’ invited the who’s who of Bollywood celebs and HR’s friends for the do organised on Jan 9 at Mumbai’s rooftop party venue, Aer.
What’s interesting about the party is that not one but two cakes were cut. A source informs, “Jan 9 marks Farhan Akhtar’s birthday. Thus, HR’s family surprised Farhan who was a guest at the event with a cake. Both the cakes (Hrithik’s and Farhan’s) were placed next to each other on a beautifully decorated table while the birthday boys did the honours.” Hrithik looked extremely happy cutting the cake with his two sons Hridhaana and Hrehaan by his side.
The party which began at 10 pm, had the Bollywood biggies pouring in by 12 am. From Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha to HR’s ex-co-star Ameesha Patel was present for the celebration.
“In the beginning they played lounge music, but as the night unfolded, all popular Hrithik’s songs were played. Everybody had a great time seeing the Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai couple Hrithik-Ameesha dancing on the songs of their 2000 release.”
It’s said that the party which went on till 3 am, served the best of cocktails and some lip smacking food which the guests couldn’t stop raving about.
