Gowariker held a private screening of Jodhaa Akbar Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodhaa Akbar releases this Friday, but the response to his private screenings he says, is "Fabulous!" Select gathering Says a source, "Ashutosh is very close to Mukesh Ambani and his family and is a regular at Ambani's private gatherings. On Saturday night after he got the prints of Jodhaa Akbar, Ashu held a screening for Mukesh and his family at Sea Winds, the Cuffe Parade abode of the Ambanis." "It was a select gathering of about 12 people including Mukesh, his wife Nita, his mother Kokilaben besides Chaya and Nirmal Momaya, Kalpana Morparia, Anjali Tendulkar and a few more people. The screening started at 1 am and went on till 4 am. It's a three hour, 20-minute film and Ashu came in almost at the end," continues the source.

The reactions were great, the source adds, "Kokilaben sat up till 4 am watching the entire film and told Ashu she loved it. At certain junctures, some people stood up and started clapping. The audience gave Jodhaa Akbar 2,000 points out of 100 after the film got over — they loved it so much!"

Ashutosh Gowariker confirms the screening and adds, "Yes. Mukesh and his family saw it on Saturday at his home. Everybody has loved it. The first screening for Jodhaa Akbar was held for my parents and family. The second was for the Roshans (Rakesh, Hrithik and their family). The Bachchans are not in town and will see it tomorrow. The Birlas are seeing it the day after and many more will follow. There is an overwhelming response each time.
