Commentary - The opening day collection turned out to be 23.5 cr, as occupancy decreased during evening shows as compared to morning and afternoon shows (probably due to Dhanteras festivities). It has broken the non-holiday opening day record of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (19.5 cr) by a comfortable margin of 20%, inspite of having the pre-Diwali release disadvantage. The combined opening figure of 25 cr from all versions (Hindi, Telegu and Tamil) is same as the combined business of last year's 2 Diwali releases - Jab Tak Hai Jaan (15 cr) and Son Of Sardaar (10 cr). It is also higher than the pre-Diwali opening day of Ra.One (2011), which was 18 cr including all dubbed versions (Hindi version was 15 cr). Krrish 3 is now Hrithik Roshan's highest opener, along with last year's Agneepath which collected 23 cr on Republic Day. It is only behind the record opening day figure (33 cr) of Ek Tha Tiger and Chennai Express (both released on Eid holidays).

It seems like Rakesh Roshan's plan to release Krrish 3 on November 1 (pre-Diwali and non-Holiday release) has certainly paid off. While the film has registered an Opening of Rs. 25 crores in India, it is doing well in the overseas too. In this Box Office Report Card, we take a look at the Worldwide Collections of Krrish 3. Counting the Thursday previews and Friday show collections, the film collected Rs. 1. 58 cr in the UK, Rs. 44.94 lacs in Australia and Rs. 13.10 lacs in New Zealand. In the UAE, the film collected Rs. 2.2 cr on Thursday.
