Himachal Pradesh’s pristine beauty is yet again all set to find favour with Hrithik-Katrina starrer Bang Bang, which started its official shooting in Shimla on Saturday. The crew started setting base in Shimla around January 15, and has followed it up with rehearsals for stunts involving actor Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik had previously visited Shimla on January 26 for a day’s rehearsal, and had flown back to Mumbai for a couple of days to be present at his elder son Hrehaan’s sports day event. Talking to HT City, the line producer from Shimla, Vishal Bahl discloses that Hrithik Roshan is likely to arrive in Shimla on Sunday, while Katrina Kaif is scheduled to arrive on February 5. Bang Bang, being directed by Siddarth Anand, under the banner of Fox Star Studios (FSS) India, is also set to shoot in Manali, February 12 onwards, after completing their Shimla schedule. The film is said to be the Bollywood version of the Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz starrer Knight and Day. The completion of stunt sequences in Shimla, around the Mall and Middle Bazaar area, also saw Hrithik’s body double being put to extensive use. The shooting of the film, however, has the Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) earning revenue of around R5 lakh. The shoot also brought cheers for locals and tourists, who were all gathered around the location to catch a glimpse of their favorite star. “I am hoping to meet Hrithik Roshan and also get his autograph,” says an elated Shivani Gupta, an avid fan.
