Hrithik Roshan did not celebrate his birthday (January 10) this year as he had to finish dubbing for Agneepath and his workouts. The actor wanted to have a quiet birthday only with family - specially his grandparents, his nephews and nieces who he hadn't met for some time.
But in spite of a hectic schedule, he took time out to cut a cake and celebrate his birthday with the media since he saw some of them waiting outside his building for hours just to get his photographs.
Says a source, "He was witty yet diplomatic in his replies to all the questions. Hrithik said all he wanted was good health because after his back and knee problems he has realised the importance of good health. When asked about being voted the Sexiest Man Alive, he said, everyone can be sexy and have a dream body like his if they work out regularly with the right amount of discipline and dedication."
For Duggu, this birthday was more than special because his next film Agneepath is also releasing the same month. The source adds, "Hrithik is excited and nervous at the same time."

There’s something about Bollywood hottie Hrithik Roshan and parties. The actor has developed quite a distaste for them of late. He turns 38 today, but the last thing Hrithik wants to do, is throw a party for that. “I don’t think I would like to have a birthday party. It’s just another day in your life.
For me, every day is special. You learn something new everyday, and start afresh with that discovery. I like to make the best of everyday — to spread love and joy,” says the birthday boy. Though he’s not throwing a party on his birthday, Hrithik has been shuttling between attending some birthday parties earlier — that of cousins, filmmakers Farah Khan and Farhan Akhtar.
“I have had too many parties. I think it’s a far better proposition to settle down at home and have some fun time with the boys (sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan). I would like to play with them the whole day. I plan to take the day off, but it’s strictly for my time with family. I don’t think they would like to share that space with anybody either,” he says.
If there’s anything on his mind, it is to maintain his fitness levels, but again the reason for that is to keep up with his sons. “The older one moves like a dart. If you are not fit enough, you can’t keep up with him. The younger one is forever ready to play. Both of them are very agile. I need to be fit in order to keep pace with them. They too love the fact that I’m all game whenever they ask me to. While playing with them, I just need to keep in mind that I don’t hurt my knee again,” says the doting father.
So, what’s keeping him so busy as to not share his birthday with anyone except his family? “There’s the preparation for Krrish2, promotions for Agneepath…,” trails off Hrithik.“I would just like to get back to work the very next day,” he adds.

Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan, who has been having health trouble for some time, says he wishes for good health and prays to stay fit on his 38th birthday. "For sometime in the past, I have encountered a lot of health issues. I have realised that in our lives the most important thing is health. If you don't have health, you can't enjoy anything in life. I wish for myself, my kids and family a good health," he told reporters here.
The star had been coping with his knee problem that cropped up after his stunts in Krrish and Dhoom 2. After the birth of his second son in 2008, he went in for a knee surgery in the US. But he hurt his knee again while doing a dangerous car stunt for home production Kites in Las Vegas.
While celebrating his birthday with journos, he got emotional and said: "It really feels nice when I think about the blessings. I really feel I am blessed. I just feel I can make every single person feel the way I am feeling right now." Hrithik, whose debut film Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai hit the screens Jan 14 in 2000, has completed 12 years in Bollywood.
He said: "Today morning I was shooting with Daboo Ratnani and I realised that I did my first photo shoot with him. It's like a new start for me." The first person to wish Hrithik was his wife Suzanne followed by rest of the family. "The best gift for me is that sitting here I can bring a smile on your face and you can put a smile on my face without saying anything. I am smiling and you are smiling and that's my best gift," he said. Hrithik is presently gearing up for his much awaited Agneepath, which is scheduled to hit screens Jan 26.
