Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and three other celebrities were today bestowed the Sahara Awadh Samman at the closing ceremony of the fortnight–long Lucknow Festival. The festival is held annually to celebrate the culture of Lucknow. The last day of the Lucknow festival saw crowds gathering in huge numbers to have a glimpse of their favourite star. Many women and children were hurt in the melee. Hrithik Roshan donated the award money of Rs one lakh for the handicapped children’s welfare. Hrithik said he was honoured by the award and love given to him by city folks. Many Bollywood celebrities have visited Lucknow during the past few months, but no other star drew such maddening crowd as Hritik did.
