Hrithik Rules Awards

Filmfare

Koi Mil Gaya, which conquered many hearts in 2003, made a clean sweep of the 49th Filmfare Awards. Rakesh Roshan’s second film with his son Hrithik has surpassed their first film together. ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ won the best popular film award, Rakesh Roshan won the best director award, and to crown it all, Hrithik walked away with both the Best Actor Awards – popular as well as critics’ award. When we congratulated Rakesh Roshan, and asked him whether he expected to win so many awards, he laughed, joking, “I expected even more!” Hrithik, too, was overwhelmed. “When I received the Critics’ Award for Best Actor, I thought that was it. But when they called me on stage again for the Best Actor popular award, I couldn’t believe it. I was too stunned

The scintillating performances by John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Ishaa Koppikar and Fardeen Khan had the audience asking for an encore. However, the loudest round of applause went to Hrithik Roshan when he performed all his hit numbers and one from the film 'Koi mil gaya'. His act with children on an elevated platform and the fireworks added a dramatic touch to the night, which witnessed a large turn out of celebrities.
