Kaho Naa Pyar Hai received its first set of awards at the Kalashree Awards. The film bagged seven awards including most of the popular awards--best film, best director and best actor.

Hrithik received the first award of his life as he was named the "best actor of the year." "It's definitely going to be a very memorable and happy day for me as I'm receiving the first award of my life for my debut film...And it will always be special to me," an overwhelmed Hrithik told PTI.
