That’s what Sunaina and Hrithik Roshan have told father Rakesh, for whom they are throwing a birthday bash today.

Today, Rakesh Roshan will celebrate his 64th birthday at a grand bash organised by his son Hrithik and daughter Sunaina. Apparently, a lot of surprise elements have been planned for the party, which Roshan Sr isn’t aware of. “For the past few months, I’ve only been going to work and coming back home. I have been focusing on Krrish 3’s post-production work, so I have no idea about the party or the guest list. Hrithik and Sunaina have also told me, ‘Papa, please don’t ask anything,’” says the filmmaker.

For Rakesh, this year’s celebration will be different, considering his birthdays have always been quiet affairs. He says, “Such parties are nice because you get to meet all your old friends and associates. Plus, when your children are doing it out of love, you can’t say no.” This year, the Roshan family has plenty to celebrate. Hrithik has just recovered from brain surgery and even Rakesh’s father-in-law, J Om Prakash, has recuperated after a heart surgery. Plus, the release of Krrish 3 is around the corner. “We do something or the other every year, but this time, there are so many things to celebrate,” says Rakesh. “Negative stuff will always be there, but you should know how to keep it aside.”

Before the party at night, the family is expected to have a traditional puja at home in the morning. Rakesh confirms, “Yes, there’s a havan at home, which will only be attended by family members.”
