Says Hrithik Roshan, claiming that his upcoming film isn’t a straight Bollywood remake of the Tom Cruise-cameron Diaz starrer Knight And Day After completing his father-director Rakesh Roshan’s superhero film, Krrish 3, Hrithik Roshan was supposed to reprise Tom Cruise’s role for the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood action film Knight And Day (2010).

However, the actor puts the facts straight, saying that neither is the film an exact remake, nor is his role the same as that of Cruise. “The germ (of the idea) is from Knight And Day. It’s a completely different film otherwise. I’m not getting into his (Tom Cruise’s) shoes,” says Hrithik. The actor insists that he would never act in a direct remake of any Bollywood or Hollywood film, and that is one of his conditions while signing films. “I don’t do remakes and this film is not a remake of Knight And Day,” says the actor, who also had to answer some questions about remakes when he was shooting his last hit, Agneepath.

“Even Agneepath wasn’t a remake; it was an entirely different script,” says the actor. The film also stars his Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara co-star Katrina Kaif. The duo is supposed to start shooting for the action-movie by the end of February. However, the name of the film hasn’t been decided yet, says Hrithik. “We now have a working title, but that’s not official,” he says. The Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz starrer was an average grosser.
