Hrithik Roshan says he's pained by the exaggeration and sensationalisation of his statement in support of Aamir Khan. A day after he came out with a statement in support of Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan finds himself in the middle of a storm. The 'Krrish' star told After Hours that he was extremely upset with reports in certain quarters which implied that he had made accusations against the BJP. "I am not a politician, I have nothing against any political party and I have not mentioned the word 'BJP' in any of my statements," he clarified on Tuesday, adding that his statements had been "unnecessarily over-emphasised and sensationalised." "What I said was as a citizen of the biggest democracy in the world. In my statement, I have advocated for the rights of the people and it is with this feeling and conviction that I stand by Aamir. My stand is for the democratic rights of every citizen that all good Indians must adhere to — and that includes political parties." "I would request that views of people are reproduced in such a way that they are encouraged to express their opinion more freely and more often, and not be afraid," he said, adding that he would continue to support Aamir.
